Temple Blessings
Nate went to the Oakland Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with his family April 21st in preparation for his missionary service to Chile. For members of the LDS Church, temples are our most sacred places where we go to be instructed, make promises to God, and to receive spiritual blessings and strength. It was a blessing to be there with family members and dear friends.
Called to Serve
Nate Schwartz has been called to serve a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Chile Santiago East Mission. He reports to the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah on May 9, 2012 where he will spend several weeks learning Spanish and preparing to serve in Chile.
This blog will serve to keep family and friends updated on his experiences and adventures of the next two years. We will post photos and excerpts from Elder Schwartz's e-mails and communications. During his mission, his time for writing to friends and family will be limited, so his messages on this blog will serve to communicate with loved ones without him having to write many emails with lots of repetition.
